Position Description:
The College of Nursing and Health Professions (CONHP) seeks a detailoriented and proactive Administrative Assistant for the Physician Assistant (PA) program to assist with various administrative functions supporting the programs leadership faculty staff and students. Major Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the assistant dean PA program directors and faculty which includes meeting scheduling travel arranging event planning and updating handbooks manuals and the PA programs website.
- Prepare and distribute minutes for various PA program and CONHP committee meetings.
- Support curriculum management by assisting the Director of Didactic Education with class scheduling maintenance of Google calendars for cohorts and supporting program faculty with teaching resources.
- Manage program data for selfassessment and continuous improvement to ensure program alignment with accreditation standards to support the programs ongoing success and development.
- Coordinate faculty appointments for prospective students assist with academic communications track student retention and progress and maintain accurate student files to support successful program completion.
- Manage the PA programs financial operations to ensure that financial processes are accurate timely and aligned with the programs budget and goals.
- Manage the physician assistant accrediting bodys portal assist with reports and monitor program changes to support accreditation efforts.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant administrative experience preferably within a higher education setting with a strong understanding of academic processes faculty and student interactions and financial or data management. Additional years of relevant experience including experience outside the required areas may also be considered.
Other Qualifications:
- Solid communication skills both written and oral.
- Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills with the ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty staff and students while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Advanced proficiency in office software and tools including Microsoft Office and Google Suite and knowledge of Excel preferred for data analysis and reporting. Experience with various database platforms is highly desirable demonstrating the ability to manage and interpret data effectively across multiple systems.
- Experience in financial management with the ability to effectively oversee and contribute to financial operations ensuring accuracy compliance and alignment with program goals. This includes managing financial processes tracking expenditures and supporting budget planning and oversight.
