Job Description

Reports to:Supervising Teacher and buildingPrincipal.

Goal:To assist the certified teacher by working with studentsindividually or in small groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with instructional tasks.
  • Assist with supervision.
  • Work with students individually or in small groups.
  • Assist with preparation organization and occasional clerical duties.
  • Work cooperative with other staff.
  • Keep confidentiality and respect student privacy.
  • Keep the Principal informed of appropriate issues.
  • Make decisions for the best interests of the District and within Board policies and CSIP objectives.
  • Promote positive relations between the building district School board and community.
  • Work to achieve district goals adopted by the Board.
  • Execute all policies rules and regulations adopted by the Board.
  • Attend required meetings.
  • Other duties assignedby supervisor.

Terms of employment: Schedule set by Supervisor accordingto policy.

Evaluation: Annually by appropriate administrator in accordance with policy.

A criminal fingerprint/background clearance is required.
