Job Description:
Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic selfmotivated Civil Leading Hand who thrives in a fastpaced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Brisbane Australia.
About the Position:
With recordbreaking investment in rail infrastructure and networks to support more livable and sustainable cities and communities across Australia were expanding our team to meet the demands of our growing project portfolio.
Based in Brisbane you will be part of dynamic innovative and collaborative team renowned for its worldclass thinking and solutions.
Key responsibilities:
Plan lead and oversee construction activities based on signalling and functional documentation.
Manage the Civil Construction team and subcontractors for ETCS L2 project delivery and coordinate all construction site activities according to the project plan.
Manage the ITP Process and ensure ITPs are signed off by stakeholders in a timely manner.
Optimize project resources both internal and external to meet milestones and deliverables.
Collaborate with the HSE team to define site safety requirements and implement HSE initiatives in compliance with regulations.
Ensure HSE compliance defining site safety requirements and implementing initiatives.
Provide regular progress reports on construction activities and resource performance evaluations.
Skills & Experience:
5 years in civil supervision in a rail and civil construction environment.
Construction White Card.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
Current Class A Driver License.
Experience in concrete and foundation works.
Demonstrated competency in implementing Health & Safety initiatives.
Outstanding planning and organisational skills.
Demonstrated experience working within a brownfield railway signalling environment.
Knowledge of software tools and technical systems.
Resourceful resilient and professional.
