Responsibilities:
The Associate Director of Advocacy supports the advocacy program to ensure valuable learning experiences that enhance the Law Schools national reputation for excellence in training practiceready lawyers and provide support for the undergraduate mock trial program. This position includes serving as a coach for student competition teams at the law school and the undergraduate developing training sessions at the law school and the undergraduate and teaching courses related to advocacy at the law school. The Associate Director reports directly to the Assistant Dean of Advocacy.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have a J.D. from an ABAaccredited law school and current bar license in the United States. Additionally candidates must have at least one year of demonstrated experience in the practice of law especially triallevel litigation.
Candidates must have a valid drivers license and be insurable by the universitys carrier.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Familiarity with the advocacy communities (both law school and undergraduate) nationwide;
Demonstrate strong written and oral communication marketing interpersonal organizational analytical assessment and administrative skills;
Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and discretion;
Demonstrate a willingness to implement innovative studentorientated programs and services;
Success working closely and collaboratively with student body faculty staff and alumni.
