Job Description Summary

The Operations Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of warehouse storage systems equipment and vehicle maintenance state property retrieval surplus operations records center operations and general business operations support. This role requires a detailoriented individual capable of multitasking and working effectively across various departments to ensure the timely safe and efficient handling of materials assets and records while maintaining accurate documentation.

Job Description

25 Warehouse Storage Systems Operations. Efficiently manages the storage retrieval and delivery of University and Hospital equipment and supplies. Ensures safe handling proper storage accurate documentation and timely delivery of items while maintaining inventory control and coordinating with various departments. Includes but is not limited to work order coordination loading and transportation of property storage organization documentation and chain of custody complete monthly billing updates for submission to manager receive freight delivers at the warehouse loading dock.

20 Equipment Vehicle and Facility Maintenance. Ensures the safe clean and operational condition of all equipment vehicles and facilities within the warehouse or operational space. Complete routine inspections inventory management accurate maintenance and monthly submission of vehicle mileage logs to University Transportation and adherence to safety and operational standards; Maintain Warehouse Operations departmental asset inventory in the Universitys inventory control system (AIM) and complete annual property audits to ensure all assets are accounted for and properly documented.

25 State property retrieval and Surplus Operations. Supports University Property Control and Surplus operations by coordinating and executing the retrievals and deliveries of State property. Ensures that proper documentation safety protocols and inventory management are followed throughout the property retrieval and surplus processes. Key responsibilities include scheduling and coordination for State property retrievals verification and documentation property loading and transport inventory reconciliation Surplus property and management and disposition and tracking and reporting of daily and monthly surplus hours to ensure the accuracy of surplus records.

15 Records Center Operations support. Act in a backup capacity assisting with the coordination retrieval and delivery of records as well as supporting records management tasks. Ensures that records are securely stored handled and disposed of in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements; Key responsibilities are records retrieval and delivery records organization and shelving secure destruction of records and provides assistance with records audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the records management system.

15 Business Operations support. Provide comprehensive support across various operational areas within Business Operations to help streamline processes. Ensures efficient of daytoday operations maintenance of systems and processes and smooth workflow across all departments. Key responsibilities include Printing Services Operations support such the timely and efficient processing of print jobs support for internal printing needs and troubleshooting and maintaining printing equipment; assist with coordinating tasks and projects to support overall operational effectiveness; Customer service and support serving as a point of contact for internal customers regarding Business Operations activities; Engaging in other duties and cross training as assigned to support Business Operations.

MUSC Minimum Training and Experience Requirements

A high school diploma and three years of work experience in collecting scheduling processing and reporting information in a data processing environment.
