We are seeking a talented individual to join our Government Human Services Consulting team at Mercer. This role will be based in Phoenix Atlanta D.C. or Minneapolis. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Mercers Government Human Services Consulting (GHSC) practice has touched more than 60 million lives since our inception in 1985 working with state Medicaid agencies to transform Medicaid programs to better serve our most vulnerable communities. Our nearly 500 specialists provide comprehensive services including actuarial and financial clinical and behavioral health pharmacy policy and more.

We will count on you to:

  • Lead routine client engagements managing overall service delivery and strategy financial evaluations plan design and more

  • Draft and review client reports and presentations to summarize findings and implications and recommend strategies and solutions to the client

  • Perform and review complex analyses and cost projects by using or modifying existing tools and pricing models and review analyses conducted by junior staff to ensure actuarial soundness and correct use of models

  • Handle daytoday client contact and management resolving any projectrelated questions and challenges and guide junior staff members in client interactions

  • Assist senior team members in the development of the business by identifying potential areas of growth in existing projects and provide assistance in responding to requests for information or proposals

What you need to have:

  • BA/BS degree

  • 5 years minimum health actuarial experience with 3 years of Medicaid actuarial experience

  • Actuarial credentials (ASA FSA MAAA)

  • Ability to handle client and project management in a demanding work environment with tight deadlines

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Officebased teams will identify at least one anchor day per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $93500 to $187000.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience skills training location certifications education and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a casebycase basis. In addition to the base salary this position may be eligible for performancebased incentives.
