At least 2 to 4 years of experience in Java performance tuning on any commercial or enterprise Java applications.
Strong background in Computer Architecture and Operating Systems
Experience with any kernel subsystem such as the scheduler memory management IOMMU
Performance measurement profiling performance debug and characterization experience on above workloads.
Poweruser of performance profiling tools preferably X86 based (Visual VM JFR JProfiler Linux perf)
Exposure to large memory footprint server workloads (E.g. SPECjbb15 SPECpowerssj Rennaisance) would be an added advantage.
Knowledge of OS internals and kernel parameter tuning experience.
Indepth understanding of modern compiler optimizations and assembly optimizations including Intel CPU intrinsics.
Strong C/Java programming skills.
Big data technologies like Hadoop Cassandra would be an added advantage.
Excellent communication skills (verbal written and presentation).
