Job Title: Test Instrumentation & Controls Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Technician working in a test operations environment supporting production and development rocket engine test programs. Responsibilities emphasize realtime plant operational support including extensive facility and integrated systems troubleshooting and immediate design correction analysis. Actively participate with rocket engine test data and controls systems setups process verifications instrumentation and prerun systems calibrations data processing and posttest data validity reviews. Individual will work closely with supporting engineers and a dedicated operations team to accommodate customer requirements and expectations.

Essential Functions:

Qualified candidates must be knowledgeable of electrical/electronic principles and should have experience with an emphasis on the following:

  • LabVIEW data acquisition and controls software application and associated National Instruments frontend hardware
  • Handson operation and troubleshooting of instrumentation signal conditioning data acquisition systems control systems PLCs transmitters I/Ps and pneumatic control valves
  • Pneumatic valves and control hardware systems and applications
  • Sensor circuits including but not limited to pressure temperature flow vibration proximity and force measurement
  • Instrumentation calibrations
  • Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams electrical drawing schematics

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge ofElectrical Electronic and/or Power Systems preferred
  • Servohydraulic control valves and associated servo amp electronics
  • Familiarity with the application of strain gages bonding lead wires hypo tubing and metal clad thermocouples is considered a plus
