Job Description

The Role

As the Director Fintech Partnerships you will help Mews identify and build relationships with various payments and fintech partners. Your focus will be on driving growth differentiation and longterm value by building and aligning partnerships with the Fintech teams product commercial and compliance/risk strategy. You will play a key role in expanding our reach accelerating revenue and strengthening our position in payments and embedded fintech within the hospitality space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partnership Development: Identify and manage highimpact partnerships across Europe the U.S. and beyond that support our embedded fintech R&D and GTM strategies. Focus will be on partnering with payments processers and acquirers banking lending and other key embedded fintech providers. Stay informed about the evolving fintech landscape and actively seeking out and establishing relationships with emerging partners that could be valuable to our business expansion.
  • Strategic Negotiations & Deal Structuring: Own commercial negotiations securing partnerships that maximize value for Mews. Structure complex agreements with fintech partners ensuring scalability and risk mitigation. Collaborate with legal compliance and finance teams to ensure deals are structured properly and have scalability risk mitigation and commercial viability through informed cost projections and business impact analysis.
  • Revenue Growth & Business Impact: Drive initiatives to maximize the financial impact of existing partnerships leveraging data and insights to optimize performance and uncover new monetization opportunities.
  • Crossfunctional Collaboration: Partner with fintech product engineering legal compliance finance marketing and solutions teams to integrate partner solutions effectively.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities. Help identify and evaluate potential M&A opportunities and provide thought leadership on fintech innovation.
  • Performance Management & Relationship Growth: Define KPIs for partnerships and manage ongoing performance. Cultivate longterm relationships with partners driving continuous partnership evolution.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Leadership: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and work with legal teams to mitigate risks.

What Were Looking For

  • Proven track record executing global fintech partnerships that drive revenue growth; Deep experience executing partnerships with U.S. and European payment processers and acquirers required
  • Strong negotiation dealmaking and stakeholder management skills.
  • Established relationships with senior executives at payment companies (especially payment acquiring/processing) banks various embedded fintech companies lenders and other financial institutions to accelerate initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of and extensive hands on experience in fintech especially payment acquiring/processing
  • A confident individual contributor with extensive experience influencing crossfunctional teams from multiple perspectives.
  • Experience working closely with product teams to evaluate potential partners.
  • Understanding of various U.S. and European payment regulation
  • Experience working in a global role and/or a regulated company is a plus.
