You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are seeking a talented Senior Risk Manager to join our Marsh McLennan Risk Team. This role will be based in our London office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
You will be working with the wider Risk Function in ensuring that the annual Risk Management Plan is delivered effectively and that valued risk advice is provided to the business. You will play a key role in fostering a strong risk culture across all categories of risk throughout the organisation.

You will support a number of enhancement activities working with the Deputy Chief Risk Officer and Senior Risk Managers. The role will therefore come with plenty of variety and opportunity to learn as well as share your own industry experience.
Partner with the Marsh and Mercer businesses work closely with local management and provide guidance at local executive committees and risk groups.
We will count on you to:
Help implement the annual Risk Management plan taking into account internal and external priorities and focus areas.
Work collaboratively with the Risk Function and the Deputy Chief Risk Officer to deliver and help enhance the Enterprise Risk Management framework.
Share your own insights on the key risks facing Marsh McLennan in the UK taking into account your insights from meetings with the business.
Lead RCSA (Risk & Control Self Assessment) meetings and other (adhoc) engagements with the business and take an active role in ensuring the risk registers have been appropriated updated with quality information on the risks controls and actions.
Take a lead role on the business areas you partner with. This includes providing a risk view at business governance committees working collaboratively with first line of defence Risk Champions and Business Leaders. This also involves providing valued advice and challenge and actively helping to embed a consistent yet pragmatic approach to risk management.
Produce high quality targeted (draft) risk reporting for Committees and Executives. This includes wellarticulated narratives on key risks updates on the status of risks controls and actions and ensuring the information is presentable such that it is suitable for a senior audience.
Help lead on various Risk Management deep dives / strategic projects e.g. M&A control enhancements and other strategic opportunities as may arise.
Lead the business on the enhancement of their control assessments as required.
Provide the necessary training and coaching to other Risk colleagues and first line Risk Coordinators/ Risk Champions.
Support the wider Marsh McLennan Risk agenda as needed by working closely with Compliance and other colleagues in the UK and globally.
What you need to have:
2nd Line Risk management experience including involvement in key risk management processes such as risk and control assessments incident management control reviews thematic reviews risk appetite development of Key Risk Indicators and producing committee reports.
Financial Services experience preferred.
Ability to work effectively with a range of senior stakeholders on risk matters with sufficient experience to drive engagement and competency in risk management across the organisation.
Experience writing high quality risk reporting for executive/ board level committees.
