Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential

  • Organize and supervise conditioning and weights during the fall and spring semesters.
  • Arrive on time for work attend work regularly and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.
  • Comply with Hutch CC policies procedures and practices.

Secondary

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the head volleyball coach.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • Successful volleyball coaching and/or volleyball team member experience preferred.
  • Student athlete recruitment experience preferred.
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with students faculty staff administration alumni media and the general public.
  • Physical requirements include excellent verbal and written communication skills; understand words and respond effectively and appropriately; visual acuity to view a computer terminal; use appropriate judgment and to apply tact and courtesy in difficult situations; moderate outdoor and indoor work environment.
  • Mental requirements include the ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions about the position.
  • Physical and mental qualifications must be performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • The qualifications listed are guidelines for selection purposes; alternative qualifications may be substituted if sufficient to perform the duties.

WAGE and STATUS:

The hourly rate is commensurate with qualifications as determined by HutchCC administration. This parttime support staff position is 5 months annual (August 1 December 31. This position is atwill nonexempt and is not benefit eligible.

HutchCC CSA Job Description Addendum:

Satisfy the duties of a Campus Security Authority (CSA) relating to Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) by:

o Promptly reporting Clery Act crimes and/or allegations of Clery Act crimes to the designated HutchCC official(s) in accordance with applicable laws policies and procedures;

o Completing any HutchCC provided CSA training regarding campus safety and crime reporting issues;

o Assisting in the issuance of timely warnings and emergency notifications in accordance with applicable laws policies and procedures;

o Serving as a resource to students employees and others regarding crime prevention reporting and victim assistance; and

o Collaborating with the Coordinator of Campus Safety the Coordinator of Equity & Compliance and the Director of Human Resources regarding campus safety and compliance issues.

o A professional counselor as designated by HutchCC and whose official responsibilities include providing mental health counseling to members of the HutchCC community may be exempt from reporting Clery Act crimes and/or allegations of Clery Act crimes when functioning within the scope of the counselors license or certification.
