Job Description
Grants Pass School District No. 7 is now accepting applications for the following position for theschool year:
Location: North Middle School
Position: Food Service Assistant
Hours: 3.75 hours per day
Calendar: 183 days per year (AugustJune)

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
- Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Card upon date of hire.
- Knowledge of methods and ability to prepare main dishes salads sandwiches desserts and other foods; work with recipe portion counts; basic kitchen utensils and equipment.
- Ability to supervise student helpers if required handle money.
- Maintain cooperative relationships with fellow employees and ability to get along well with students.
- Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish preferred.
- Upon selection employees will be required to pay for the following: $12.50 fingerprinting fee and $70 ODE fingerprinting processing fee.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- $15.22$21.99 per hour. Dependent on approved accepted experience/education.
- Annual COLA pay increase (as negotiated with Oregon Association of Classified Employees)
- Annual step pay increase awarded to eligible employees
- 6 paid holidays per year
- 2 personal days per year
- 10 paid sick leave days per year
- Bereavement leave as per bargaining agreement
- Continuing Education Funds up to $1000 per year
- 6 employee paid contribution towards Oregon Public Employees Retirement System
- Longevity Service Stipend after 10 years of employment $800$1400
