Location: Midland Rest Area. Must reside within 60 minutes of Rest Area (mile marker 282 Hwy 97
Pay Range: $3881.89$5244.34 per month
Schedule: Day Shift WednesdaySunday (Monday and Tuesday off)

About Us:
As a Rest Area Specialist youll play a vital role in keeping our rest area safe clean and welcoming. Working alongside the Rest Area Supervisor youll support facility upkeep landscaping maintenance and contractor coordination. Exceptional customer service is key as you assist travelers and help maintain a positive experience for all who stop by.
A Day in the Life:
Inspect and maintain facilities and grounds to keep them clean safe and functional.
Handle janitorial tasks landscaping and minor repairs.
Operate snow removal and maintenance equipment as needed.
Coordinate work with contractors and fillin staff.
Engage with travelers providing assistance and ensuring compliance with site rules.
Communicate effectively with staff partners and public agencies to keep operations running smoothly.
Working Conditions:
Works in and around buildings facilities and grounds both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Uses vision hearing manual dexterity communication and motor skills to perform duties including emergency response. Navigates inclines stairs and rough or slippery terrain. Lifts and maneuvers objects up to 50 pounds. Uses ladders reaches above shoulder height and performs tasks on hands and knees. Regular duties include bending stooping crouching kneeling climbing twisting pushing and pulling.
What We Are Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
Six months of experience operating heavy or light motorized equipment using hand and power tools performing minor servicing of equipment general landscaping maintenance mechanical farming logging and/or construction experience or training.
Special Requirements/Licenses:
Employee is required to possess and maintain a valid drivers license issued by the state where the employee resides.
You also must obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR certification and Bloodborne Pathogens training from an agencyaccepted certification authority.
Candidates must reside within a 60minute travel distance to the Rest Area to ensure timely response to oncall emergencies. If relocating the move must be completed within 90 days of the start date.
Desired Attributes:
Experience performing basic plumbing carpentry electrical work painting cleaning and landscaping.
Experience using snow blowers and snowplows for snow removal and knowledge of how to operate irrigation systems.
Knowledge of state and federal safety regulations including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
Experience providing excellent customer service in a professional or volunteer setting
Familiar with Microsoft Office programs like email spreadsheets and word documents to help with reports and recordkeeping.
Proven ability to manage tasks meet deadlines and stay organized in a fastpaced environment.
Experience training or guiding team members on safe work procedures and proper equipment use.
