Global GDS investigations and litigation Counsel

Location: Wrocaw Warszawa

Hybrid model: 2 days office/3 days remote

The opportunity

Our EY GDS Legal Team is seeking an experienced contentious Counsel with at least 12 years of experience in handling internal inquiries litigations and investigations for employees across multiple jurisdictions and matters spanning crossborder complications. The role involves working on a broad range of investigative and litigious matters advising on complex issues and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

The GDS GCO (Legal Team) is part of the EY Global GCO team and is responsible for all legal support to the EY GDS business.

Job Title: Global GDS investigations and litigation Counsel

Function: General Counsels Office

Location: Bangalore India; OR Wroclaw Poland; OR Dubai

Rank: Assistant Director/Associate Director

Whilst the role is based in Bangalore (or) Wroclaw the role will involve working with GDS centres in Poland India China Argentina Philippines UK Spain Mexico Sri Lanka and other upcoming GDS locations as well as with other EY locations across the world. You will be working closely with the other members of the GDS Legal Team Global GCO Team as well as business stakeholders in all GDS locations.

Your key responsibilities

  • Conducting internal inquiries and investigations related to employee conduct compliance issues and other matters across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Advising on crossborder complications and ensuring investigations comply with local and international laws.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders supporting functions and other members of GDS and Global GCO to carry out and provide legal advice on investigation matters.
  • Drafting and reviewing reports and other documentation associated with the investigations process.
  • Instructing and working with internal forensics teams and external counsel as needed.
  • Contributing to internal guidance best practices and templates for investigations.

  • Strong credentials with exposure to multiple jurisdictions and legal support portfolios specializing in internal inquiries and investigations.
  • Excellent interrogation and communication skills.
  • Proactive attitude high degree of emotional intelligence and demonstrated aptitude for resilience and flexibility.
  • Ability to positively team and collaborate effectively across geographic locations.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to grasp understand and effectively articulate and document complex legal and contractual principles.

  • High levels of personal energy and appetite for work and success. Inclination to propose initiatives and be proactive in seeking change.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • At least 12 years of postqualification experience in handling internal inquiries and investigations litigation matters gained in private practice or a MultiNational Company with exposure to crossborder matters.
  • Ability to provide practical legal advice and support with a high degree of professionalism in a fastpaced environment and to establish a high degree of credibility respect and trust at all levels.

Ideally youll also have
