Job Description
SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Career Development in the College for Community Health (CCHL) the Employer Relations Specialist focus on developing new external employer partners and internship offerings for students in CCHL and increasing employer involvement in CCHL recruitment initiatives. The Employer Relations Specialist serves as the primary contact for employer inquiries and technical support and assists with managing communication with employer partners databases of employer contacts and marketing career and internship opportunities to students in addition to assisting with event planning and promotion (both oncampus recruitment events and alumni/employer panels).
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build and nurture relationships with employers through targeted outreach site visits and regular engagement to expand recruitment opportunities.
Design and execute comprehensive employer engagement strategies that align with CCHLs academic mission and student career outcomes.
Collaborate with the Alumni Office to leverage graduate networks and create pathways for alumni engagement in student recruitment.
Represent CCHL at industry events professional associations and networking functions to expand the Colleges employer network.
Participate in university and collegewide initiatives that support career development and student success.
Lead the endtoend planning and assessment of recruitment events including career fairs employer panels and industry spotlights.
Manage the Handshake platform for CCHL ensuring quality control of job postings and providing technical support to employer partners.
Create and implement marketing strategies to promote job opportunities and recruitment events to students and alumni.
Develop and track key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of employer engagement initiatives.
Serve as the primary liaison between employer partners and the CCHL community facilitating connections with faculty staff and students.
Partner with Career and Internship Advisors to deliver industryfocused programming and career readiness workshops.
Maintain comprehensive employer contact databases and communication systems.
Work closely with the Director to develop innovative strategies for expanding employment and internship opportunities.
Collaborate with CCHL Career Services teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and consistent employer experiences.
Partner with academic departments to align recruitment opportunities with curriculum and learning outcomes.
Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of three years of fulltime professional experience working in higher education recruiting or a field related to workforce development.
Experience working on career services initiatives such as oncampus recruitment events career advising and careerrelated programming.
Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
Ability to build and enhance relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fastpaced diverse working environment.
PREFERRED:
Masters degree from an accredited college or university.
Familiarity with hiring trends in the community health sector particularly in New Jersey and tristate area.
Facility with technologies related to career services and student support.
Experience developing and delivering professional development presentations to diverse audiences.
Experience planning and executing events.
Experience using Ellucian Banner Student and Handshake.
