As a Lower School Teacher at Ravenscroft here is what you get to do:
The lead teacher should bring energy humor and passion for teaching Lower School students. Other responsibilities and necessary competencies include the following:
Qualifications:
The teacher should have training and experience teaching and learning with Lower School students and faculty. A bachelors degree is required; masters degree is preferred. The teacher must be able to work with young students who vary in ability and learning styles both nurturing and challenging as necessary. The teacher should have demonstrated success meeting the individual needs of learners and differentiating instruction. Professional development and experience teaching English Language Arts using a Science of Reading based approach is strongly preferred. The teacher will also possess strong classroom management and organizational skills. References should address the teachers skills as well as the ability to collaborate with other adults in an educational setting.
Teacher should possess excellent communication and technology skills; professionalism and grace in dealing with people at all levels; success working with students and colleagues in and outside of the classroom; leadership ability. The teacher must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.
