As a Category Supplier Management Intern you will be learning about developing a category strategy for managed categories validating strategies with Global and Regional Category Managers/s and the respective internal partners and stakeholders. You will be assisting with strategic sourcing initiatives plan and execute negotiations using supplier and industry analysis benchmark and cost management.
Key Responsibilities
Category Management & Strategic Sourcing
- Recommend resource levels across procurement sourcing categories projects and functions.
- Implement processes to monitor stakeholder satisfaction with key suppliers.
- Recommend targets to maximize value such as high revenue spend reduction purchasing efficiency customer services and supplier management.
- Analyze sourcing trends and make recommendations for assigned categories.
- Participate in supplier segmentation and strategic goalsetting.
- Develop category strategies for managed categories and validate strategies with Global and Regional Category Managers/s and internal partners.
Cost Management & Analysis
- Identify and evaluate categoryspecific savings/revenue levers
- Drive category savings/revenue and scorecard metric targets
- Provide market intelligence and category price trends to relevant internal stakeholders
Business Partnering
- Collaborate with Stakeholders to Deliver Strategic Solutions
- Develop and maintain expertise in the assigned spend categories through relationships with key stakeholders
- Drive customercentric approach to solving issues and representing Procurement
- Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships to enhance costeffectiveness supply chain efficiency and resilience.
- Utilize shouldcost models for assigned categories that are benchmarked and relevant to the global marketplace
Requirements
- Pursing a Bachelors Degree in an engineering or business field. Graduating after September 2025
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to effectively manage relationships with various individuals involved
- Advanced skills in material cost structure understanding and analysis
