Job Description
This is a parttime temporary/seasonal position. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis to establish an applicant pool. As vacancies occur they are filled from the pool.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree (or an equivalent in education or experience) from a regionally accredited college or university in the specified discipline or a closely related field
Ability to communicate effectively with college faculty staff and students
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching college level courses
Experience with distance education/web teaching modalities
Fluency in Spanish
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach assigned courses and be available to students during the contract period
Prepare course syllabi course outlines (if necessary) and related instructional materials
Manage set up of lab supplies and room arrangement prior to each class
Manage inventory and ordering of lab supplies
Maintain student records including attendance and grades.
Administer student evaluations
Participate in orientation and faculty meetings as requested
Participate in student retention activities as requested
Promote college educational programs and services to the communities served by WNC
