ROLE: Senior Wintel Active Directory SME

The successful candidate will join a highly skilled team of infrastructure engineers providing technical infrastructure design and implementation to central and regional UK Secure Accounts. The role will require a flexible working ethic and a pragmatic approach to IT Cloud and Platform Project Delivery.
Successful candidates will have a design implementation and support background great customer service and communication skills. They will have a keen interest in innovation alongside a willingness to implement new ways of working and automation.
Please note the role will be based on site in Edinburgh and as a result candidates should be based within a commutable distance. Candidates should be UK nationals who will either hold or be willing to go through DV clearance.
Description of Role
Provide expert design implementation and troubleshooting for multi forest Active Directory service (DFS DNS WINS LDAP etc)
Promote and demote domain controllers
Support AD name resolution technologies (DNS WINS DHCP Infoblox)
Implement AD security methodologies (JEA JIT Delegation models and Tiered Admin model)
Perform AD schema extensions
Create PowerShell scripts
Support Azure AD AADDS and other Azure technologies
IDAM project delivery & process design
Simplification of complex IDAM processes & tools
Maintaining security standards and high availability of AD architecture
Design and review any required changes to Active Directory with a specific focus on structure delegation models tiering and management.
Education and Experience required:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience. May hold professional or intermediatelevel certification(s) in work field. Typically 10 years of relevant experience.
Candidates should possess at least Disclosure Scotland / BPSS clearance or be willing to undertake appropriate security vetting.

Any Microsoft / Citrix / VMWare certification
Wider understanding of client or midrange OSes networking and security
HyperV Azure and Google Cloud
HP BladeSystem or similar blade servers / blade chassis and interconnect technologies
HP Cloud Service Automation or similar selfservice cloud management technology
HP Server Automation or similar system configuration / software deployment technology
Symantec Datacentre Security or similar security policy enforcement product
