Job Description
Closing the Gap Healthcare (CTG) is dedicated to providing Canadians with the highest level of care across a wide range of home based and community setting services.
We are looking for a Payroll Specialist who is excited about managing the payroll of a diverse highvolume work environment with the support and training from a highly specialized payroll team.
Candidates with previous home care or healthcare industry experience coupled with union experience would be considered an asset.
This Payroll Specialist role is a hybrid position based out of our Mississauga head office.
What you will be doing:
- All things payroll including completing biweekly payroll cycle processing in a union and nonunion environment
- Managing employee lifecycle payroll system such as setting up new hire and processing Record of Employments (ROE)
- Its all about the reports. Prepare various payroll reports for both internal and external stakeholders and distribute them in a timely manner
- Identify and provide solutions for any potential payroll issues and/or concerns.
Skills you already have:
- The Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation recognized by the Canadian Payroll Association or equivalent
- 35 years Canadian Payroll experience
- Adept in using Excel and payroll software
- A proven track record of being accountable for multiple deliverables reporting and highquality performance
- Outstanding organizational skills and efficiency
- Excellent oral and written communication
