The ideal candidate is an outstanding interactive technology and digital media practitioner scholar and educator who demonstrates the ability to engage a diverse community of learners at the highest levels of artistic endeavor and critical thinking from foundation to senior level undergraduate courses.
The qualified candidate should be proficient in design/digital media art practices with a focus on codebased arts interaction and UX design. They should be able to teach undergraduate courses in digital arts UX and creative coding and should have experience in projectbased learning with a theoretical framework.
The preferred candidate has a hybrid academic/professional background with expertise in three or more of the following media/technologies areas: user experience/interface design physicaldigital integration 3D printing data visualization programming for emerging technologies net art mobile app development immersive media AI net art.
The applicant will provide evidence of successful college teaching experience and a record of scholarly/creative productivity. The candidate will submit a digital portfolio demonstrating their media production experience.
The selected candidate will have a typical teaching load of 3 classes and meaningful service to the Multimedia Arts program. An MFA and 2 or more years of successful teaching experience are required at the time of hire.
