Software Development Team Lead

As aSoftware DevelopmentTeam Leadyou will work with our growingDevSecOpspractice as a technical project manager or team leadvaluatingidentifying and developing complex software solutions using cloudnative services APIs and microsservice solutions.We are looking for candidates with 57years experiencewithresponsibility for leading cross functional and technical teams to drive projects from conceptual design feasibility through requirements budgetcompleted design implementation testing and deployment.

Responsibilities include:

• Serve as the technical delivery leader accountable for completion of team delivery efforts including quality oversight and client acceptance
• Build andmaintainclient relationships developing a strategic vision for clients and internal teams
• Handle challenging client situations and offers technical and business guidance & direction to client executives
• Design develop and deploy modular microservices and cloudbased systems
• Troubleshoot software qualitysecurityand reliability issues
• Responsible for communicating technical options and associated tradeoffs and risks with necessary personnel
• Follow industry trends innovative technologies software development methods and tools in order to improve and evolve the product architecture user experience and Agile development and DevSecOps practices
• Manage staff and monitor performance and training needs to create skills expansion and career advancement opportunity
• Foster the use of Agile practices within teams to enable delivery of deployable software within specified times
• Actively participate in design sessions sprint ceremonies and cross functional and integration team meetings
• Provide guidance and oversight of testing practices and code reviews and ensure the security and integrity of the code base and product
• Collaborate with team members and integration partners to develop new features as well as to troubleshoot debug and resolve issues in all environments
• Document asis state of the environment perform a gap analysis and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations
• Leverage virtualization and containerization tooptimizeand modernize software systems
• Assistin sales and technical strategy activities beyond their current program
• Engineer and implement solutions andproviderecommendations for continuous improvement for the servicesprovided

Required:

• Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance
• BS Degree in an IT field OR BS in a nonIT field and 2 years related IT experience
• Proven experience of leading the deployment of enterprise and custom Software solutions in client environments
• Demonstrated ability to influence and consult whileprovidingthought leadership to sponsors/stakeholders in solving governance program/project management business process and/or technical problems
• Proven experience growing and selling while delivering
• 8 Years of experience with Ruby; additional programming languages (Java react C C)a plus
• 8 Years of experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub GitLab Bitbucket
• 8 Years of experience with one or more programming or scripting languages (Python Bash JavaScript)
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance
• 5 Years of experience with one or more clouds (I.e.AWS Azure or GCP)
• 5 Years of experience using CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins GitLab CI/CD GitHub PipelinesCircleCITravisCI
• Experience implementing docker containers andutilizingplatforms such as Kubernetes
• Experience implementing Automated Testing frameworks including unit testing

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary including but not limited to geographic location contractual requirements education knowledge skills competencies and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $140000 to $160000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
