ROLE DESCRIPTION

As a Finance Data Architect you will be at the forefront of designing and developing data architecture solutions in the Finance and Treasury data space. This role is crucial for building a selfservice platform for the distribution of trusted data for Finance.

In this role youll collaborate with senior stakeholders across the bank breaking down complex challenges and developing innovative approaches and solutions. Youll be joining an exceptionally talented and supportive team united by a shared mission to shape the future of data architecture in the financial data space. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop conceptual logical and physical data architectures in line with the organizations Future State Finance Data Asset Strategy.
• Collaborate with Finance business teams to enhance understanding interpretation design and implementation of data architecture solutions.
• Support Finance business and change teams in transitioning to target state data architectures focusing on improving current data feeds and resolving data issues.
• Develop data architecture schemas that align with Enterprise data models and support Finance Data Assets.
• Contribute to architecture development planning and scheduling.
• Continuously improve the data architecture estate ensuring adherence to risk management control measures security protocols and regulatory compliance standards.
• Advise and support Finance data architecture requirements for new use cases and data changes.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in Finance data architecture.
• Support Finance adoption and implementation of data architectures to meet strategic data needs.
• Participate in data architecture and data governance forums.
• Coordinate and collaborate with crossfunctional teams change delivery teams technology teams and subject matter experts.
• Create and maintain a range of data architecture documents including architecture requirements data flow diagrams data catalogues data definitions design specifications data models traceability matrices data quality rules and more.
• Translate Finance business requirements into data architecture solutions and Finance Data Assets.
• Conduct continuous audits of data architectures and refine them as needed reporting any challenges issues or risks to senior management.
• Ensure Finance data architectures align with Enterprise data models and adhere to Enterprise Architecture principles and standards.
• Seek opportunities to simplify automate rationalize and improve the efficiency of Finance IT and architecture solutions.
• Update and maintain key architecture artefacts such as Confluence SharePoint documents reports roadmaps and other domain artefacts.
• Provide data architecture and technical advice maintaining ongoing relationships.
• Provide timely feedback to ensure that architecture development or modification meets business needs.
• Communicate data architecture solutions to both technical and nontechnical audiences ensuring the communication style is appropriate for the intended audience.
• Support crossprogram and crossgroup Data Assets and delivery strategies opportunities and problem resolution.

MANDATORY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Business

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management and architecture within the Financial Services sector ideally in a Treasury or Finance role or a related front office environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing data architectures (conceptual logical and physical with appropriate phasing transitions and migrations.
• Strong understanding of managing data as a product across various enterprise domains and technology landscapes.
• Solid knowledge of business data application and technology architectural domains.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and present data architectures and concepts to both technical and business stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment collaborating with data architects from other domains to create shared and reusable data assets.

Technical

• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies in a largescale Agile environment including active participation in daily standups and progress reporting.
• Knowledge of reference and master data management.
• Proficiency with data architecture tools such as Visual Paradigm ERwin PowerDesigner ER Studio etc.
• Understanding of data architecture standards and technical documentation using ERD UML or BIAN.
• Ability to deliver solutions that provide organizational benefits.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to work independently and take ownership of key deliverables.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience in a large global banking setting is highly valued.
• Familiarity with data standards governance strategy and lineage is a plus.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP AWS Azure) and big data solutions is advantageous.
• Knowledge of issue and data quality management prioritization business case development remediation planning and solution delivery.
• Experience with data governance initiatives like lineage masking retention policies and data quality.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to work independently and take ownership of key deliverables.
• Openminded approach to problemsolving ensuring pragmatic and effective designs. Familiarity with ETL architectures and tools including data virtualization and API integration is desirable.
