ColgatePalmolive is seeking a highly motivated scientist with a track record of excellence for a postdoc position in Global R&D Skin Research & Innovation group based in Piscataway NJ.
Responsibilities
Design and deliver in vitro and ex vivo scientific discovery programs related to skin health regeneration and aging
Deliver novel in vitro models assays and discovery work using ex vivo human skin 3D skin equivalents and primary skin cells
Develop research plans and independently execute projects
Drive the discovery and characterization of new bioactive ingredients or formulated products and identify new biological targets/mechanisms of action for skin benefits
Prepare and submit reports presentation conference posters and/or journal articles
Identify and lead collaboration effort with external partners/suppliers
Mentor junior scientists
Collaborate and communicate with crossfunctional teams to achieve project goals
Manage requirements involving legal agreements IP regulatory safety and quality
Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in cell biology molecular biology biochemistry or biomedical engineering or a related field
Hands on experience with primary cell culture/tissue culture
Knowledge of dermatology and/or skin biology
Hands on experience with quantitative PCR immunohistochemistry immunofluorescence live cell imaging receptor activity assays enzymology and/or ELISA
Strong problemsolving skills project management and skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands on experience with human skin cell/tissue culture (keratinocytes fibroblasts skin equivalents and/or skin explants)
Hands on experience in preclinical evaluation of skin bioactives using human skin cells/tissues
Experience in skin physiology and pathology (e.g. skin inflammation wound healing acne AD psoriasis)
Track record of publications/presentations
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $94000.00 $96000.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience qualifications and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses profitsharing and longterm incentives for Executivelevel roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including medical dental vision basic life insurance paid parental leave disability coverage and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employees hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
