Description
We are looking for Senior Specialist to join the Pro Enterprise Firmware Lab (PEFL) at the PPS R&D Centre in Bangalore. PEFL is responsible for core firmware assets platforms for extensible APIs and solutions that drive HPs inkjet LaserJet and DesignJet products.
Role Summary:
As a Senior Specialist you will:
- Design and develop embedded systems to meet our longterm product goals
- Collaborate with the engineering team to implement the architecture.
- Partner with external stakeholders to analyze and design components to meet customer needs.
- Understand business requirements and craft a technical architecture that meets or exceeds these needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop firmware solutions for HPs enterprise printing platforms.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders to translate customer needs into technical requirements.
- Develop and maintain core firmware assets and extensible API platforms.
- Create Technical Architectures that align with business goals and oversee their implementation.
- Work with a global team of developers to ensure consistent highquality API services.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in firmware operating systems and open source solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to firmware and platform development.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field with 68 years of experience
- Handson experience with C or C languages
- Deep understanding of ObjectOriented design and development
- 3 years of experience in architecting designing and developing highscale highperformance software/firmware systems.
- Desired to have good knowledge and working experience with Linux and embedded operating systems.
- Proven track record in building enterpriseclass software/firmware components and architecting endtoend systems in print or other domains.
- Strong understanding of firmwaresoftware interfacing
- Tools development and thinking/taking actions towards continuous productivity/quality improvement.
- Awareness of cloud computing security and mobility technologies is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of web technologies web services HTML5 CSS and JavaScript is a plus.
- Desired to have AI Knowledge and its hands on usage in embedded system.
Technical Architecture and Design:
- Understand the existing solution architecture and enhance or define new architecture to meet future requirements.
- Contribute to and influence the future roadmap for product extensibility.
- Partner with external stakeholders such as Sales Response team PreSales teams and subject matter experts to define requirements.
- Ensure design covers nonfunctional aspects like performance quality reliability and scalability.
- Provide handson guidance to teams with an emphasis on performance scalability and quality.
- Be responsive and decisive in adjusting our platform architecture as customer requirements market conditions and technology evolve.
