KNFE team within Amazon books is engaged on thinking and building features for Kindle which will make reading a delightful and differentiated experience. Our team owns key customer facing features like XRay Notes/Highlights Popular highlights Search inside a book PhotoQuotes and many more. We own these features endtoend. We are responsible for the backend microservice architecture the ML that powers these features as well as the seamless CX on iOS Android and Ereader.
Key job responsibilities
Perform software deployments support operations software upgrades and migrations
Support and enable faster software delivery by maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automating them.
Knowledge on Java Python scripting languages.
Troubleshoot debug evaluate and resolve identified alarms
Problemsolving and passion for operational excellence
Must be able to prioritise followthrough with detailorientation independently.
Good verbal and written communication skills
2 years of software development or 2 years of technical support experience
Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
Experience in Unix
Experience scripting in modern program languages
Knowledge of web services distributed systems and web application development
Experience troubleshooting & maintaining hardware & software RAID
Experience with REST web services XML JSON
