Job Description

Job Title: Lead Government Compliance

Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies a Fortune 500 company and premier Defense Contractor is seeking an experienced Government Compliance representative to support the Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance Systems (ISR) Sector within the Integrated Mission Systems Segment. IMS is a growing and highly dynamic business consisting of diverse business models robust pipelines U.S. government and international offerings and complex entity structure across both domestic and international operations. This position is responsible for supporting all avenues of Government Compliance within the Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance Systems (ISR) Sector. Work with Finance & Accounting on Incurred Cost Submissions CAS Business Systems Floor checks and support FPRP.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide support to the business on FederalAcquisition Regulation (including the Department of Defense and other Supplements) and Government Compliance subject areas including but notlimited to: Cost Accounting Standards/Government ContractingAccounting Systems; Billing Systems; Time and Labor Systems; PurchasingSystems; Material Management; Government Property; Cost Estimating/Bid Proposal Development and Negotiation Practices; ContractAdministration.
  • Liaison between DCAA/DCMA/ACO and management within the Sector communicate within and outside of organization to explain and influence changes to policies practices or approaches.
  • Implement/recommend significant improvements in processes systems or products.
  • Conduct contractor business system reviews.
  • Prepare/assist in completion of the Incurred Cost Claim FPRP & DS changes/submissions
  • Review setup and audit of indirect pools; assist in the indirect AOP and the development of the FPRP
  • Review/Develop policies and procedures and determine effectiveness.
  • Effectively communicate audit statusand results to Internal Audit and Business Unit management with emphasison discussing deficiencies and understanding corrective actions.
  • Support DCAA audits of Incurred Cost Bridges FPRP floor check & system audits
  • Interface with companywide Contract Compliance groups and DCAA.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel proficiency with other Microsoft Office products
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of government cost accounting indirect pools and rate applications
  • Working knowledge GAAP CAS FAR and DFARS
  • Experience with Contractor Business System Audits

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Detail oriented with good organizational skillsand capable of multitasking
  • Excellent people skills with experience collaborating in a multidisciplinary diverse and dynamic team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (written verbal & presentation)
  • Costpoint and SAP experience
  • Cognos experience
