Are you outgoing confident on camera and always ready to start a conversation Do you love telling stories through video interviewing people and engaging with an audience If youre an energetic storyteller with a passion for digital media apply to be our next Digital Content Creator!
What youll do:
- Be oncamera and in the spotlight: Appear in videos and collaborate with other editors to bring stories to life. Youll work closely with the Social Media Manager and Video Editor to create branded and engaging content for various purposes.
- Repurpose written content to digital: Craft compelling narratives for news features and social media segments. In collaboration with the section editors youll repurpose written content transforming print and online stories into engaging video content.
- Engage with the student body: Go out talk to people and find the most interesting stories on campus. This role requires a lot of talking to strangers so you should be comfortable approaching the student body unprompted.
- Fill content gaps: Be prepared to be a jack of all content trades! Youll appear in news skits trends recaps and more. Youll need to adapt to the needs of the team while suggesting fresh ideas for digital content.
What were looking for:
- A confident public speaker who thrives in front of the camera. Being camera shy wont work in this position.
- A natural conversationalist whos not afraid to approach people and ask great questions. A big part of this role is engaging with the student body through onthestreet interviews.
- Someone with basic video production skills (filming editing and working with multimedia tools).
- A highenergy personality who can connect with viewers and keep content fresh. Not only will you need to engage our viewers but youll also need to coach the other editors how to do so!
- An organized deadlinedriven creator who can juggle multiple projects.
Qualifications
- Youre a current NAIT student enrolled in classes from September 2025April 2026. The Digital Content Creator is a parttime salary position that begins August 1 2025 and ends April 15 2026. You must be enrolled in classes in both the Fall 2025 and Winter 2026 terms to be eligible. The salary for this position is $500/month.
- Available for a minimum of 10 hours per week starting August 1 2025
- Previous experience with the Nugget is a bonus
