Northeastern Universitys SpeechLanguage and Hearing Center is seeking an innovative collaborative flexible and experienced reading teacher with specialized training in Wilson or OrtonGillingham and the RAVEO program to lead teaching during the summer of 2025. Word Detectives offers specialized instruction to ensure that struggling readers maintain important reading skills over the critical summer months and to provide spelling and/or written expression strategies to enhance development in these areas.
Qualifications:
Masters degree in education or a related field
Training in reading instructionWilson or OrtonGillingham
RAVEO training preferred but can be provided prior to program
At least 3 years of experience providing classroom or small group instruction
Training in the Responsive Classroom approach is preferred
Experience supervising graduate students and assistant teachers is preferred
