Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Communicating the Partys message through digital media social media and other legislature content
- Producing designs and video material aligned to the Partys message
- Producing graphics aligned to the Partys message
- Driving the Partys political message in the media within the Party and to the public more broadly

Minimum requirements:
- National Senior Certificate or equivalent
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Communications and/or Digital Marketing
- 3 years experience in a similar role
- 2 years experience in media and social media monitoring
- 2 years experience in creative design (Adobe Design Suite)
- Experience in drafting and dissemination of written communication for external purposes
- Computer literacy particularly MS Office Suite
- Valid drivers licence
Skills:
- Written and verbal communication
- Time management and organisation
- Administration and attention to detail
- Copy writing graphic design and video conceptualisation
Abilities:
- Identify and extract information from traditional media statements for amplification on social media channels
- Create online campaigns
- Use initiative and work well in highpressure situations
- Be outcomesorientated not simply taskorientated
- Work independently
- Apply sound judgement
Knowledge and Commitment:
- Commitment to the principles policies and programme of action of the Democratic Alliance
- Willingness to go the extra mile which may include working long and irregular hours weekends and public holidays where necessary
