Job Description
ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW:
The Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP) was formed in 1999 to bring together the chief executives of Central Indianas prominent corporations foundations and universities in a strategic and collaborative effort dedicated to the regions continued prosperity and growth. CICP is nationally known as a leader in networked governance and corporate academic and philanthropic collaborations.
The organization is focused on Indianas key advanced industries as well as workforce and talent housing four sector initiatives designed to fill gaps and pursue strengths through a relentless focus on driving talent and investment to these verticals: AgriNovus Indiana for agbiosciences; BioCrossroads for life sciences; Conexus Indiana for advanced manufacturing and logistics; and TechPoint for tech and techenabled companies. Ascend Indiana addresses workforce development and talent needs across all of the sectors and others.
In addition the organization is working across its initiatives on crosscollaborative projects including innovation entrepreneurship equity and communications to strengthen its market knowledge and impact Indianas economy.
JOB OVERVIEW:
The Communications Intern will play a key role in supporting CICPs communications efforts by assisting in the creation and distribution of content that engages key audiences. The intern will work closely with the Senior Director of Communications and Communications Manager to develop messaging manage digital content and contribute to communications initiatives that promote CICPs mission and programs. This role will support CICPs public awareness program See Yourself IN and other highpriority projects as assigned.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct research and gather information to support public awareness efforts including CICPs See Yourself IN public awareness program its resources and events.
- Help coordinate and promote events such as the annual See Yourself IN High School Summit and other initiatives.
- Support content development and messaging for CICPs website social media channels and other communications materials.
- Assist in drafting press releases blog posts newsletters and other communications materials.
- Assist in managing editorial calendars and scheduling content across digital platforms.
- Provide general support to the CICP communications team as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications Public Relations Marketing Journalism or a related field.
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Experience with graphic design and video editing tools (e.g. Canva Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Demonstrate ethical handling of confidential information.
DETAILS:
- Manager: Senior Director of Communications CICP
- Office location: 16 Tech downtown Indianapolis with hybrid work (in office Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays)
- Required internship hours: approximately 2025 hours per week
- Pay Rate: $15 / hr
- Travel: Limited
