Job Duties
Coordinate institutionwide systems of academic and service department institutional effectiveness plans; provide orientation training and support to individual departments in designing institutional effectiveness processes to support both regional and programspecific accreditation.
Supervise the Institutes online course evaluation system.
Supervise the technical aspects of assessment including design of databases data collection and analysis of data related to assessment plans.
Coordinate the administration of various standardize national assessment instruments and ensure that reports and results are distributed institution wide.
Coordinate workshops seminars and other activities for faculty and staff on assessment and institutional effectiveness.
Use quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze institutionwide assessment instruments in relation to the learning outcomes employed in various educational contexts at the Institute.
Prepare written reports and give oral presentations for VMI offices or committees and for external agencies on the findings from assessment activities.
Develop coordinate and administer institutionwide questionnaires/surveys using traditional methods as well as electronic survey software.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
A masters degree in a relevant discipline
Supervisory or leadership experience in an academic setting
Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Strong analytical skills
Project management skills
Additional Considerations
A Doctorate in a relevant discipline
Knowledge in current and best practices in assessment and survey research
Understanding of accrediting processes in higher education.
Experience in higher education leadership institutional research institutional planning and effectiveness program evaluation campus planning or a demonstrated record of comparable professional experience.
Experience with advance analysis of qualitative and quantitative data
