Job Description
Welcome to MSAD 75!
Serving Maines Midcoast communities of Bowdoin Bowdoinham Harpswell and Topsham MSAD 75 is home to over 2350 students and more than 600 faculty and staff members.
Maine School Administrative District 75 (MSAD 75 is seeking a LongTerm Middle School Art Teacher Substitute to join our vibrant educational community. Together we can inspire the next generation of learners and leaders.
The assignment will run from May 8th through June 16 2025
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Exhibit passion and a commitment to helping all students learn at a high level and foster an appreciation for the visual arts.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of visual arts content and pedagogy at themiddle school level.
- Plan and teach units of instruction that address MSAD No. 75 learning goals and provide a diverse range of art experiences.
- Utilize effective classroom management and student engagement practices.
- Collaborate with school and district colleagues to showcase student artwork.
- Use skills to communicate successfully with students colleagues and families.
- Contribute to a school culture of appreciation collegiality and innovation.
- All other nonteaching duties per negotiated contract.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree or higher in ArtArt Education or related degree.
- State of Maine Department of Education Teacher Certification PreK12 Art (endorsement 620 required.
- State of Mainebackground check (CHRC) authorization.
- Commitment to continuous selfimprovement and learning.
- Experience with Marzanos elements of effective teaching practice preferred.
