We are seeking aSenior Software Engineerto join our mission. In this fastpaced environment you will collaborate with a team of smart and passionate engineers to design and implement systems that meet the needs of our growing business. You will have direct ownership of new features aimed at enhancing the scalability reliability availability extensibility and performance of our platform. We prioritize delighting customers while building highquality software and seek candidates with a proven track record in designing and implementing largescale distributed systems.
- Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment.
- Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
- Drive continual improvements in efficiency and flexibility while maintaining high standards for customer trust performance and availability.
- Strong problemsolving abilities.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- 5 years of experience with fundamental algorithms system design and large distributed systems.
- 5 years of professional coding experience using modern programming languages such as Java Scala Kotlin C C# etc.
- Experience leading complex software system projects successfully delivered to customers.
- Ability to communicate effectively with users technical teams and senior management regarding requirements software product features technical designs and product strategy.
- Proven ability to influence software engineering best practices within your team.
- Handson expertise across various technologies from frontend user interfaces to backend systems.
- Experience working backwards from customer needs to deliver innovative solutions.
Pay & Benefits:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. At Coupang your base pay is one part of your total compensation.
The base pay for this position ranges from $159000/year in our lowest geographic market to $324000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience.
