Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking fulltime New Grad RNs for our Observation/Clinical Decision Unit Residency at High Point Medical Center located in High Point North Carolina. A New Graduate Nurse is either a current nursing student nearing graduation from an RN program or a recent graduate with less than six months of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.

- Shift: Night shift 7p 7a with weekend rotation
Unit Description:
- Observation/Clinical Decision Unit: A 12bed general medicalsurgical unit that handles acute patients with expected stays less than 36 hours. Upon completion of 6 months in the observation unit you will be crossedtrained for the Clinical Decision Unit which is a 12bed extension of the emergency department. The Clinical Decision Unit handles patients that are requiring extended emergency department stays however are expected to be discharged within 24 hours. The clinical decision unit is a protocol driven unit.

Job Summary
The New Graduate Nurse provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment planning implementation and evaluation). They lead and direct other assigned team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with nursing standards of care and practice.
What Youll Need
- Less than 6 months of RN experience
- Graduation from accredited School of Nursing
- Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire per unit guidelines
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year of hire per unit guidelines
