SANE is committed to creating a brighter future for Australians affected by complex mental health issues by ending mental health inequity and social and economic exclusion. We provide free digital mental health support services and run a variety of mental health awareness stigma reduction research and advocacy programs. We support diverse workforce segments including those living with complex mental health issues and the broader community. We are 100 people with a volunteer work force of circa 60 people.

About the role
You will be responsible for building and supporting a thriving volunteer program and workforce within SANEs Digital Community. By overseeing the successful delivery of volunteerled engagement activities to ensure the SANE digital community is lively and that there is opportunity for reciprocal peer support for people with complex mental health challenges and representation of identified priority populations within the volunteer program and avenues for progression into paid employment.
You will play a crucial role in SANEs recovery programs by building and maintaining relationships coordinating the training of volunteers by our Lived Experience Lead and being part of the amazing Recovery Community team
Key responsibilities of this role include:
Support the roll out of planned volunteer recruitment and training
Maintain an uptodate volunteer database and data reporting
Coordinate documentation related to volunteer numbers goals and keep upto date records and data.
Support the rostering and coordination of SANE forum peer volunteers with a particular focus on SANE priority populations.
Provide ongoing support facilitating opportunities for development career progression and routine debriefing.
Regularly communicate with the volunteers to maintain engagement and keep them informed.
Provide recognition of the contribution and role within the Digital Community
Collaborate with the wider team to support projects and work
Work within SANEs Model of Care and Clinical Governance Framework
About You
Desired experience or Qualifications in Customer Service Administration Project Management and/or Stakeholder Management
Over three years experience working in a program delivery team
Minimum 1 year experience coordinating volunteer workforce
Proven experience in volunteer coordination
Proven administration and/or customer service experience.
Experience using CRM database (Salesforce desirable) and email tools (Campaign Monitor desirable).
Demonstrated experience working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
Desirable
Experience in working with diverse populations and fostering inclusive online communities
Understanding of peer work and/or mental health
