This is an UNPAID internship through the DoD SkillBridge Program for transitioning activeduty US military personnel. DoD SkillBridge Internships are available to help transitioning activeduty military personnel gain realworld experience in the work force sometime during their final 180 days of activeduty service. The intern will actively train on meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with senior company leadership. HII Mission Technologies (HIIMT) Internship programs are focused on placing transitioning military into internships that require KSAs Education & Military Training similar to their current or previous military jobs; positions that could easily transition over to a fulltime regular and permanent job with HIIMT.
The Skillbridge intern will train as an Information Warfare (IW) and Cryptologic Warfare (CRY) Mission Technician with HIIMission Technologies reporting to HII Supervisor Kevin Foster Program Manager with the goal of learning FURY Systems Operations and Maintenance principles technologies and core device functions as well as the roles and responsibilities of working in a federated FURY system environment. The intern will be assigned special projects as needed.
TRAINING LOCATION: Virginia Beach VA
Desired End State 34 month target)
At the end of three months the intern will be able to operate both fixed site and Mobile FURY systems conduct maintenance and coordinate and execute FURY EMW/IW training missions to Fleet consumers.
The intern will develop an understanding of FURY technical documentation and project management.
Mission Technologies will benefit from the military background of the Skillbridge intern and considers the Skillbridge internship an overall positive experience.
Assumptions/Restrictions
Skillbridge Intern will possess at minimum an Active Secret Security Clearance.
Skillbridge Intern will be available during core hours for critical meetings and training.
