Foundedin 1978 SARC has been a cornerstone of safety and support in Harford County.what started as a grassroots effort has grown into a comprehensive resourcecenter offering shelter crisis intervention legal advocacy and communityeducation. Aboutthe Role: Residential Case Manager


Asa Community Educator at SARC you will be the voice and face of our outreachefforts delivering dynamic traumainformed education to the public andbuilding lasting partnerships that amplify our impact.


WhatYoull Do:


  • Deliver engaging presentations to diverse audiences on domestic violence sexual violence stalking and bystander intervention.
  • Promote awareness of SARCs services and the issues survivors face with a focus on prevention and education.
  • Identify and build relationships with new community partners expanding our outreach footprint.
  • Organize and cofacilitate volunteer training including our 26hour Basic Crisis Responses Training.
  • Create and share outreachfocused social media content in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate records and submit monthly statistics for all outreach and training activities.
  • Coordinate community communications and targeted outreach emails with the Donor and Community Engagement department.
  • Continuously seek new educational resources and remain up to date on best practices in prevention.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and represent SARC at community events.

Schedule:Hybrid 25 hours per weekwith flexibility required to attend some evening or weekend events.


Salary:$20.00 per hour



Requirements

WhatYou Need:


  • A bachelors degree incommunications human services social work or a related field OR
  • An associate degree and at least twoyears of experience in a related field OR
  • Four years of relevant experiencewithout a degree.
  • Completion of SARCs Basic CrisisResponse and Companion Trainings (provided upon hire).
  • A valid drivers license and accessto reliable transportation.


Preferred:


  • At least one year of experience providing case management crisis intervention or direct advocacy services forsurvivors of violence.
  • Familiarity with communityresources housing assistance legal advocacy and crisis intervention strategies.
  • Experience working in a residentialor emergency shelter setting.
