Job Description
Superior Forge & Steel Corporation is currently hiring Skilled Maintenance Personnel for our operation in Lima Ohio. Maintenance employees are responsible for maintaining the facility and equipment.
Competitive:Wage starting at $25/hr up to $38/hr based on training and experiencebenefit/insurance package 8 paid holidays 401K Paid Time Off (PTO) Additional Paid Relief Days$1000 SIGN ON BONUS and this position is also eligible for our Production Incentive Program.
Responsibilities:
- Repairing machinery and equipment; can involve reading/interpreting blueprints drawings and sketches dismantling cleaning repairing lubricating and replacing parts adjusting machines and equipment performing electrical repairs (based on discipline)
- Part fabrication
- Welding; shielded metal arc gas metal arc oxyfuel welding brazing and cutting
- General plant maintenance
- Other maintenance work as needed
Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:
- Must be capable of performing physical tasks
- Exposed to seasonal temperature changes
- Manufacturing environment with heat noise dust and vibration
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous mechanical or construction experience required
- Welding skills a plus
- Skilled Trades training program a must
- Basic math skills required
- Attention to detail
- Basic problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screen
Classification: Hourly
