General Trades Technician II

Valid Ohio drivers license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy. Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection insurance eligibility driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Childrens Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines. Primary TA Partner is missing from Job Requisition.

Essential Functions:

• Adheres to all safety protocols and regulations including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established procedures for hazardous materials handling and disposal.
• Conducts routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. Maintains systems as required by regulatory agencies.
• Maintains accurate records of work performed including parts used labor hours and other relevant information. Maintains stock inventory and orders materials.
• Performs repair tasks on related to the building shell and all systems integrated in that shell.
• Responds to work orders and service requests in a timely and efficient manner prioritizing tasks based on urgency and importance.
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment and system malfunctions identifying root causes and recommending appropriate solutions. Collaborates with other stakeholders and outside vendors.

Education Requirement:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Licensure Requirement:

Certifications:

• Certification from a trade program preferred.

Experience:

Two years of related experience required.
