PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director of Campus Operations (DOCO) is the leader of campus operations and as such promotes a positive environment for all employees and students while aligning with university standards and expectations. This position in conjunction with program and university leadership is responsible for the hiring development and performance management of assigned personnel. The DOCO monitors and meets budgetary goals for instructional cost student retention and student and employee satisfaction at the campus level. The DOCO represents and promotes the campus in the community through strategic initiatives and partnerships.

This position promotes a belief in potential for all people and works diligently to help the members of the campus and students achieve successful outcomes. The DOCO is responsible for monitoring and supporting the student population within the campus program areas. This means that this position works collaboratively with campus leadership and functional leaders to ensure student support and satisfaction through the analysis of student retention student needs programmatic standards student learning outcomes and faculty support and development. The DOCO may delegate duties to programmatic or department leaders but ultimately is responsible for the quality and of all campus initiatives in assigned areas.

Finally the DOCO is responsible for continuous improvement of the campus through collaboration with functional leadership and university personnel. This can be achieved through many methods but typically means that this position is actively engaged in the development and maintenance of the campus strategic priorities and collecting data for purposes of analyzing program and campus performance. Most importantly the DOCO ensures that campus personnel in areas of direct oversight actively participate with university committees and constituents and holds those individuals accountable for local of strategic priorities and alignment with university initiatives. The DOCO will also support local initiatives such as the Program Advisory Boards and ensure system expectations for the documentation of meetings and initiatives are upheld.
