Production Planner

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Production Planner to create and manage the production schedule to ensure the efficient timely and costeffective manufacturing of products.

Job Summary

As the production planner you will oversee all planning/scheduling and labour/capacity planning for the highpressure business including plans for the inhouse machine shop. You will also be required to run and present daily production meetings update shortage reports and identify potential issues advising of such in a timely manner. The candidate must have a broad range of skills on excel to include the use of macros/formulas and have a good numerical mind. Control of production routing and raising of production paperwork is also essential.

Responsibilities

• Working with the production team and material planners to meet customer despatch dates
• Interaction with factory floor required
• Demand planning along with labour capacity planning
• Raising & kitting of production paperwork.
• Running daily production meetings with Supervisors
• Communication and coordination with production and purchasing team.
• Continuous improvement/LEAN methods desired.
• Knowledge of KPIs & ability to compile reports to present to management team.
• A strong team player who establishes monitors and communicates well with all areas of the business.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience within a similar role
• Level 3 NVQ/A level (CIPS/APICS) or above
• Strong analytical computer communication and writing skills (typing)
• Strong data capabilities

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

This role will be based onsite a Redditch Monday to Thursday 07:3016:15 Friday 07:30 12:00

Key Competencies

• Strong experience on Excel essential
• SAP experience advantageous
• Experience on MRP purchasing
• Experience with production planning/capacity planning
