The role is part of the InSpace Systems business unit which is focused on addressing two of the most compelling challenges in spaceflight today: space infrastructure and increasing mobility onorbit.

As part of a diverse and hardworking team of engineers you will own significant scopes of electrical integration and test efforts for various space vehicles. This includes integrating electrical subsystems into the spacecraft ensuring compatibility with Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) and deploying the Ground Data System (GDS). In a fastpaced dynamic environment you will architect the functional test program develop test plans and coordinate test procedures and script development. You will lead elements of electrical test during vehicle integration all the way through final testing in preparation for launch.
You will contribute to optimally completing major test campaigns including planning writing test plans and procedures developing test equipment and compiling test reports.

Responsibilities:
Lead the planning architecture and coordination of the resources vital to execute the testing of electrical systems for development and verification successfully.
Coordinate with the design engineer subject matter experts across each affected system under test to integrate the identified System verification requirements into the detailed test plan for the development risk reduction and/or verification run for record event as appropriate.
Lead the conduct of Test Design Reviews Integration Readiness Reviews and Test Readiness Reviews for your events.
Lead all aspects of several test projects simultaneously
Identify communicate and mitigate cost schedule and technical risks
Contribute to the mentoring & training of other personnel
Qualifications:
Proven track record of working with test flight and safetycritical hardware tools and shop equipment
Previous experience with spacecraft/satellite functional test development and/or hardware ownership (responsible engineer) or hardware qualification and/or acceptance testing
B.S. in Aerospace Electrical Mechanical Physics Systems Engineering or related technical subject area
Direct experience developing test infrastructure integrating the test articles and testing Major Assembly Spacecraft Test Articles with an emphasis on Electrical systems
Experience with analytical and scripting tools: Matlab LabVIEW Python C
Excellent verbal written and graphical communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced dynamic work environment
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings standards and technical requirements
Ability to perform data analysis and reduction and present technical information in a clear and compelling visual format
Strong safety demeanor and experience including handson experience planning and conducting hazardous or critical operations
Ability to earn trust maintain positive and professional relationships and contribute to a culture of inclusion
Must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired:
Handson test and production facility factory or laboratory experience
Hands on experience developing and maintaining test scripts
Experience with hardwareintheloop (HIL) or software integration labs (SIL)
Experience with requirements development/management tools; DOORS DOORS Next Gen and lifecycle management (PLM) and/or data Windchill
Handson testing experience in thermal vibration shock and vacuum testing on flight hardware in accordance with MILSTD810 SMCS016 and MILSTD1540
