Medical Secretary

Location: Winfield Hospital Gloucester

Hours: 30 hours per week Fulltime MonFri 5 hours per day

Salary: Depending on experience Benefits

Summary:

Winfield Hospital is one of Gloucestershires leading private hospitals located on the outskirts of the City of Gloucester. It is situated off the Northern Ring Road with excellent road and rail links. The hospital opened in 1992 and currently has 39 beds including thirty four single rooms all with ensuite facilities.

The role:

We have a great opportunity for a Medical Secretary to join our successful and professional team at the Winfield Hospital based in Gloucester.

Your main task will be supporting our consultants with fast and precise record creation which is so important to the smooth running of patient management. You will be expected to multitask across a range of secretarial duties; offer good judgement in escalating issues prioritising jobs highly accurate typing as these tasks all play an important part of your role. Youll be valued for your skills and expertise and have the chance to build on them through our Ramsay Academy too.

What you will bring with you:

  • Excellent IT skills and accuracy
  • Audio typing experience desirable not essential
  • Experience of multitasking and working to strict deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • High attention to detail
  • Background knowledge or experience with medical terminology highly desirable
