Job Description
Hooker & Heijden are specialists in the recruitment of Insurance Professionals. Our consultants offer specialist career advice and advancement for your career within workers Compensation. Our clients include Australian Insurers Brokerages and consultancies.
Are you a claims management professional with experience across Workcover claims and/or eligibility;We would be open to someone who has an occupational therapy background looking to move into more strategic operations in the longer term.
Both of these positions are suited to upandcoming case managers Occupational rehab providers or workcover premium case managers who are looking to further their experience and exposure to the wider workcover programme.
This position will see you work alongside the senior account managers to gain further understanding as you build your repertoire of skills in this space.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a positive and engaged client relationship built on providing expert advice for any claimimpacting and related questions or concerns. The position will develop your sound understanding of claimsfrom a Victorian perspective.However you will also gain experience across additional jurisdictions which will give your career a distinct advantage.The role will be working across clients on a national level so you must be open to learning other states processesas well.
Requirements
- Demonstrated claimsand/or Occupational rehabilitation experience within the Victorian Workers compensation scheme is required.
- Effective work management/time management and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Willing to learn and develop your knowledge and skills in workers compensation
- Influential and calm in all situations including conflict able to gain a resolution
- Customer service experience with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Client relationship management skills
- Resilience and Perseverance
- Highly developed Communication Skills both written and verbal
- A Team Player
- Understanding of Workers Compensation Legislation
- Competent Computer skills adaptable and willing to learn new systems and procedures.
