An opportunity has arisen for an Environmental Advisorto join the team at Morrison Construction Galliford Try.

Ideally you will be based in or around the Inverness Area and will have opportunity to travel across multiple Sites in the Region.

What you will be doing:

As Environmental Advisor you will support construction business units and Environmental Lead on all environmentalaspects.You will support and implement the Environmental strategy and systems to ensure that the deliveryof our operations meets exemplary environmental standards.This role supports improvement andconsistency in performance ensuring compliance with management systems and implementingcontinualimprovementinitiatives.

• Foster and support an inclusive open transparent and collaborative environment that supportsourEnvironmentalculturematurityandbehaviours to deliverHS&E excellence.
• Support the implementation of our HS&E strategy to drive continual improvement through thebusiness addressing short medium and longterm growth and learning.This will be achievedthroughcollaborationwithothersin ourteamsandother keystakeholders.
• Proactivelydriveandpromoteourbehaviouralcultureprogrammeinlinewith thebusiness.
• Represent and promote environmental in internal and external meetings workshops management reviews and forums communicating best practice standards and initiatives.
• Implement our environmental management system taking account of client requirements toalignwithouroverallstrategyanddrivingperformancethroughourprocessesandstandards.
• Engagewithinternaland externalkeystakeholdersincludingclientsupplychainpartnersregulatory authorities industry bodies and colleagues through the project lifecycle.
• Providesenvironmentalinputtooperationalteamsfromtheplanningstagethroughtocompletion of any works through guidance advice and support to support proactive planningand implementation of our standards.Takes appropriate action where our standards are notbeingmet.
• Supportsoperationalstaffinthereviewofhighriskmethodstatementsandriskassessments.
• CarriesoutenvironmentalreviewsandinspectionsatourworkplacesonaregularbasisconductssitesafetyandsupportISO14001auditstoensurecompliancewithourmanagementsystems.
• Supports our learning and development programme by preparing and delivering training andawarenesssessionsinstructionsbestpracticeguidancecodesofpracticeenvironmentalinformation etc. to our operational and leadership teams our clients and at industry events asrequired.
• UtilisesenvironmentalperformanceKPIstoreviewperformanceanddrivescontinualimprovement.
• Contributestocontinualimprovementtounlockgainsinenvironmentalperformanceandmitigaterisk to MC/GTthatcouldoccurthrough environmentalrelatedissues.
• Responsible for investigating incidents and nonconformities production of reports and leadingopportunitiesfor improvementas appropriate.

About You:

• Ideally experienced in environmental management in construction or similarregulatedmarkets.
• Proveninenvironmentalmanagementsystemsrisksandlegalframeworks.
• Experiencedindeliveringenvironmentalroleinaprojectlifecycleenvironment(tenderprestart andconstruction).
• Knowledgeofdataanalyticsandreportingsystems.
• Full driving license and willingness to travel across projects/ contracts in region.
• CompetentuseofITMicrosoftpackages Database systemssuchas:ActivSHEQ etc.
