KONE Procurement Organization (KPO) is supporting all KONEbusiness functions and business lines in ensuring competitiveinnovative and suitable supply of products and services for theirneeds. Global Indirect Procurement is a category management ledorganization driving crossfunctional teams developing andimplementing category strategies and driving continuesimprovements.

To join our team we are now seeking a highly skilled andmotivated Global Category Manager Installations Tools & PPE

If youre an experienced category management professional whothrives on complex supplier relationship management (SRM) supplierstrategy and delivering commercial impact at a global scale thisis the role for you. In this role youll build strongrelationships with key business stakeholders lead proactivesourcing projects and influence demand management. Youll alsolead Installations Tools & PPE categories and its developmentenhancing supplier performance and driving innovations andsustainability.

To succeed in the role you are expected to increase valueacross the categories and improve relationships both internally andexternally. Ultimately we strive to work proactively so that wecan better meet demand deliver simpler and better processes andwhere necessary find new suppliers that further increasevalue.

Main responsibilities

• Responsible for a global strategic setting & coordinationin alignment with KONE organization globally and regionally
• Develop and execute SRM strategy to improve relationships withsuppliers reduce costs enhance quality and sustainability andenable KONE to gain competitive advantage.
• Lead and involve crossfunctional category teamwork to ensurebuyin and endtoend implementation of category strategy infunctions and business lines.
• Owner together with global operations of installationsubcontracting procurement process
• Guidance and support to Areas for internationalsubcontractors
• Implementation of longterm strategy for labor as definedtogether with Areas and frontlines
• Acting as subject matter expert in category for any needs.
• Executing projects based on the Category strategies andbusiness plans
• Driving change management and innovation with strategicsuppliers
• Captures category best practices processes and standardsproviding guidance to ensure these best practices are implementedacross the category and regions continuously improving ways ofworking
• Responsible for delivery and implementation of global strategicsourcing activities though document preparation vendor selectionconducting RFP coordination evaluation initiating award approvalcycle and communication results.
• Responsible for identifying initiate and implement cost savingopportunities to ensure savings targets are met
• Track governance and compliance against category strategy bymanagers and local teams

Requirements for the role

• A bachelors or masters degree in supply chain managementconstruction technology business administration or a relatedfield.
• 10 years skills and experience in Sourcing or Operations orrelevant business. Min 35 years of experience withinInstallations Tools & PPE
• Proven experience in successfully managing Installations Tools& PPE related projects demonstrating project management skillsand knowledge
• Knowledge from elevator or construction industry or similarbusiness is an asset
• Proficiency in procurement and sourcing strategies includingsupplier evaluation negotiation and contract management
• Indepth understanding of project management methodologiestools and best practices
• Vast experience in change and a stakeholder management
• Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities for assessingmarket trends optimizing category plans and managing projectcomplexities
• Strategic thinking and high level of business acumen
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong leadership skills experience of leading matrixorganizations
• Fluent in English both spoken and written
