Salary range: $120640 $180960 Shift structure: Monday to Friday 7.25 hours per day Primary location:Negotiable Union: Exempt FTE:1.0 Status:Permanent About the Role Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working as a member of the Senior Leadership Team the Director Clinical (Classrooms) is directly responsible for the effective operations of the CASA Classrooms program.
CASA Classrooms are CASAs model for schoolbased mental health service. The program addresses the need for services closer to students by bridging a childs mental health and school needs through a coordinated approach by a mental health team and a teacher. CASA Classrooms are delivered in partnership with the Government of Alberta community partners and school divisions.
The Director Clinical (Classrooms) will:
Lead and manage CASA Classrooms operations throughout the province including existing and future classrooms.
Develop approve and hold teams accountable for achieving operational program deliverables in alignment with the annual operational plan and organizational roadmap.
Work as part of the clinical leadership team which includes the Directors of Day Programs and House Inclusivity and Indigenous Initiatives Medical and Outpatient Programs Support and Practice. This team is accountable for ensuring the effective provision of clinical and medical mental health services that are evidenceinformed and responsive to the patients families and communities CASA serves.
Work with the Senior Leadership Team to approve organizational and portfolio budgets that support directors while ensuring financial sustainability.
Generate recommendations about strategic and tactical opportunities to improve the patient family and provider experience prioritizing and executing based on impact.
Review design and execute process improvement plans for CASA Classrooms.
Qualifications
Masters degree in a related field (e.g. nursing psychology medical science counselling psychology clinical administration).
Experience as a clinical leader within the healthcare system leading a team of clinicians.
Minimum of five years of progressive management experience with substantial supervisory experience.
Licence to practice and in good standing with a provinciallyregulated professional health association or body is an asset.
Clinical experience working directly within the area of mental health or directly with children and youth is an asset.
Education and certification in leadership is an asset.
Education and certification in patient safety is an asset.
Board governance training or experience serving on a board is an asset.
Performance management training or experience is an asset.
Demonstrated leadership ability with excellent organizational interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of childrens mental health service delivery and related services such as child intervention services addictions family therapy and group therapy is an asset.
Demonstrated change management skills program development and evaluation experience.
Demonstrated understanding of an interdisciplinary approach to mental illness.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build consensus while making evidenceinformed decisions.
Conditions of Employment
Must maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification (training provided by CASA) and be physically able to perform all interventions.
A satisfactory Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Intervention Check. This would be the financial responsibility of thesuccessful candidate.
Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle.
