Here at GXO we are currently recruiting for a Facilities Technician to join our team in Wynyard supporting our customer Asda. The role Is to complete routine and emergency repairs to equipment fixtures fittings and systems within the building to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of a full and comprehensive maintenance service to the site.
This is a full time permanent position predominate working Monday Friday 08:00 17:00.

What youll do on a typical day:
- Inspect operate or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
- Clean or lubricate shafts bearings gears or other parts of machinery.
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools and reassemble equipment.
- Assemble install or repair wiring electrical or electronic components pipe systems plumbing machinery or equipment.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
- Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
- Level 2 Diploma in Engineering City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring
- IOSH Managing Safely
