Job Description
Software Engineer
Location: Aurora CO.
Required Clearance: Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for evaluating operational software problems and providing immediate solutions to restore service as well as integration and verification of new baselines.
- Support program as a technical software resource.
- Supports the maintenance and documentation of software applications.
- Determines the operational feasibility of software modifications.
- Develop software tools to complement maintenance activities.
- This position is located in a customer facility and some CONUS/OCONUS travel may be possible.
Requirements
Required Skills:
- Ability to work in a structured configurationcontrolled environment primarily focused on the support and maintenance of realtime software applications on an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contract.
- Experience with software development and integration.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to recommend solutions to software engineering problems and issues.
- Ability to perform analysis troubleshooting and assessment of software system errors in a complex operational system.
- Provide support to installations and system upgrades by participating in integration working groups factory checkouts site checkouts installation planning meetings and rehearsals.
- Provide support for development test and install Category 3 software.
- Expertise with software configuration management systems and processes.
- Experience with isolation of discrepancies to software database scripts or configurations.
- Experience with various operational systems.
- Requires ability to work under pressure on highpriority systems and multitask in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
- Ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Selfmotivated excellent time management and organizational skills.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in an O&M environment.
- Experience working an enterprise program with team members at multiple geographic locations.
- Linux/Unix PERL GIT and database experience. JIRA BitBucket and Confluence experience desired.
- Experience with current IC or DoD operational environments and policies or supporting operational systems.
- Security certification
